Yes! I think about this a lot when it comes to zoos or people who parade animals you can 'ride' at the beach. I wonder what happens behind closed doors.

Yes, I hate to point fingers universally, but the reality is that if someone's handing you a wild animal, there's likely a gap in that animal's care. It's not always intentional: some people truly don't consider that other species have care needs or health risks that different from traditional companion animals (like cats and dogs).
